FRANKFURT -- Opel/Vauxhall will sell its new Zafira Tourer medium minivan alongside the smaller existing Opel Zafira model.
The Zafira Tourer will go on sale in Europe in the third quarter after the vehicle has its production debut at the IAA in Frankfurt in September.
The Tourer, the third-generation version of the Zafira, will offer premium quality similar to the brand's Insignia midsized car, Opel said.
The Zafira Tourer will rival minivans such as the Ford C-Max, Volkswagen Touran and Renault Scenic. It will have a redesigned version of the Flex7 seating system in the existing Zafira. The middle row of seats now has three individual seats rather than a bench. They can be folded and move forwards and backwards.
