Q: What was your first automotive job and why were you interested in the industry?
A: I started as a trainee at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg and joined the purchasing team as a buyer for paint. I always liked automotive and decided I wanted to start my career in Europe's largest market.

A: The biggest achievement is always in front of me.

A: I once underestimated internal politics and relationships when making an important project decision.

A: The lack of any revolution in the automotive distribution sector. Additionally, the model remains very local/regional.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT CHALLENGE AT WORK?
A: I am very excited about the move into the commercial area after 18 years in purchasing. For me, it's a new company, new country and new area of responsibility. A: It was from my CEO at Magna Donnelly Carlos Mazzorin: "You were born as an original, don't die like a copy."
Q: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A PERSON CONSIDERING A CAREER IN THE AUTO INDUSTRY?
A: To start working in emerging countries, possibly in China or India.

A: Analyze the facts and figures; get an understanding of the business environment, competition and company culture. Build up a strong management team. Develop a strategy as well as short- and long-term objectives.

A: I like changes and challenges. Whatever the position is, I would like to have an impact on results and on the company strategy.
