DETROIT -- Metaldyne has acquired a factory in Zbysov, Czech Republic. The company will expand the plant's forging and machining lines to make differential side gears, pinions, transmission shafts and other components. The plant is expected to launch production by year-end.
Metaldyne, of suburban Detroit, ranks No. 81 on the Automotive News list of the top 100 suppliers to North America with an estimated $449 million in parts sales to automakers in 2010.
