ISTANBUL (Reuters) -- Turkish automotive sales fell 8 percent in January to 32,670 vehicles, the Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD) said.
The ODD has forecast sales of 800,000 to 860,000 vehicles this year, but warned last month that a tax hike on passenger cars and recent banking measures aimed at curbing Turkey's growing current account deficit could dent sales.
Last year, deliveries in the market rose 10 percent year-on-year to 853,378 vehicles.
