BMW, hoping to capitalize on the hot market for crossovers, is hinting at plans to expand its crossover lineup, once again, with a model based on the X2 concept.
Although it was shown as only a concept Thursday at the Paris auto show, the X2 is expected to go on sale early next year.
With four doors and coupelike styling, the X2 will be the stylish and sportier alternative to the X1.
The X2 will sit on the same architecture as the X1 and redesigned Mini models -- the front-wheel-drive UKL platform. An all-wheel-drive version is likely to be offered as well.
