RENNES, France -- Renault-Nissan has promoted Veronique Sarlat-Depotte to the new head of the alliance's joint purchasing operations.
Sarlat-Depotte will play a key role in boosting purchasing synergies between Renault, Nissan, AvtoVAZ and now Mitsubishi following Nissan's recent acquisition of a 34 percent controlling stake in Mitsubishi.
Sarlat-Depotte was previously deputy managing director of the alliance's joint-purchasing operations. She succeeds Yasuhiro Yamauchi who replaces Trevor Mann as Nissan's chief competitive officer. Mann has moved to Mitsubishi as its chief operating officer.
