Volkswagen Group's VW and Seat brands have named new production chiefs.
Tostmann joined VW Group in 1990 as part of the product planning team. During the mid-1990s he led powertrain product planning for VW in Mexico and was then promoted to a group-level role in the powertrain department.
Prior to joining Seat in 2011 as production chief, Tostmann's roles included managing VW's powertrain factory in Salzgitter, Germany, serving as managing director of VW South Africa and as chairman of VW Slovakia.
In 2016, Tostmann was an Automotive News Europe Eurostar winner.
Vollmer joins Seat from his last position as technical executive vice-president of SAIC Volkswagen, VW's joint venture with SAIC in China.
Vollmer will be responsible for leading the management of the brand's three production centers in Martorell, El Prat de Llobregat and Barcelona and for promoting strategies related to environmental sustainability and the challenges of future mobility, Seat said.
