BMW's new X5 SUV is getting a major styling makeover and will be larger than its predecessor with extra passenger and cargo room, and is the first X model to offer an off-road package.
The X5 will also be equipped with new features such as a four-zone air conditioning system and a panoramic glass roof that is 30 percent larger, BMW said.
The X5 will be available in three variants in Europe when it launches in November, the xDrive40i gasoline model and the xDrive30d and X5M50d diesel models. In the U.S., the xDrive40i will be offered alongside the xDrive50i gasoline model.
Available on all X5 variants, the new off-road package includes underbody protection at the front and rear, along with a two-axle air suspension and electronically controlled rear differential lock
