Lotus has hired a top Aston Martin executive as its commercial director -- a new job for the UK sports car maker -- as it prepares for increased growth under the ownership of China’s Geely Holding Group.
Marcus Blake, 43, had been global marketing director for Aston Martin before joining Lotus in June. In his new role, Blake will be responsible for sales, marketing and aftersales at Lotus.
Lotus created the commercial director job after the recent appointment of Geely executive Feng Qingfeng as CEO. He replaced Jean-Marc Gales, who had led the automaker since 2014.
