Here's the clearest look yet at the basic two-door model of Land Rover's upcoming Defender, scheduled for launch in 2020.
The rugged off-road vehicle was being driven in Warwickshire, England, last week, not far from Jaguar Land Rover's Gaydon engineering and technical center.
Styled by Land Rover design chief Gerry McGovern's team, the new Defender appears to retain the basic silhouette and some of the styling cues of the classic 1948-2016 models.
Land Rover plans a family of Defenders, which would likely include a Wrangler-fighting convertible model, a long-wheelbase wagon and possibly a pickup version.
