There's another Lamborghini that can be taken off-road — in concept form, at least.
Lamborghini last week unveiled the Huracan Sterrato concept, which is based on the Huracan EVO coupe.
The Italian exotic brand kept the Huracan EVO's 5.2-liter V-10 engine with 640 hp, and added off-road gear inside and out.
This includes 20-inch wheels featuring larger tires with increased sidewalls, nearly two extra inches of ground clearance, wide-body wheel arches and underbody protection in the form of front and rear skid plates and aluminum-reinforced side skirts. There is also protective bodywork around the engine and air intakes to deflect stones, Lamborghini said.
Completing the off-road look of the bright orange concept is an LED light bar and front bumper lights. Inside are a titanium roll cage, four-point seat belts and aluminum floor panels, the automaker noted.
"A super sports car with off-road capabilities, the Sterrato demonstrates the Huracan's versatility and opens the door to yet another benchmark of driving emotion and performance," Maurizio Reggiani, chief technical officer at Lamborghini, said in a statement.
Lamborghini said the Huracan Sterrato took inspiration from its Urus SUV, which went on sale last year.
Lamborghini's global sales rose 51 percent in 2018 to 5,750 vehicles, thanks to the Urus joining the lineup.
