Maserati has revealed a prototype of its new Grecale SUV to employees.
Staff at its plant in Modena, Italy, were shown the car and were the first to put images of the vehicle on social media networks, Maserati said in a statement.
Grecale prototypes are currently undergoing intensive road, circuit and off-road tests, Maserati said.
The midsize Grecale will be positioned below the Levante and will compete with SUVs such as the Porsche Macan and the BMW X3.
It will be built at Fiat's factory in Cassino, central Italy, where an investment of about 800 million euros is planned.
