Renault Group's Mobilize unit has completed field tests of its electric "last-mile" cargo van to collect data for a future urban mobility service.
The van, called the EZ-Flex, was first shown as a concept in 2019. The results of the tests, carried out in the Montpellier, France, metropolitan area, will influence the final design of the Hippo, one of four Mobilize vehicles announced last year by Renault Group.
Mobilize is the group's "fourth brand" after Renault, Dacia and Alpine, and CEO Luca de Meo says mobility services will make up 20 percent of the group’s turnover by 2030. The unit is led by Deputy CEO and CFO Clotilde Delbos.
