Seat has appointed Guillermo Fadda to the newly created post of sales chief for Europe, which accounted for 88 percent of the Volkswagen Group subsidiary's sales last year.
Fadda, who has held a range key sales and marketing posts for VW Group in Spain, Italy and Argentina since 1995, will start Oct. 1.
He will report to Seat Vice President for Sales and Marketing Wayne Griffiths, the company said in a release.
Griffiths said that he expects Fadda to continue Seat's growth in Europe, where it and sister brand Cupra have increased their market share by more than 30 percent since 2015.
"I’m convinced that his experience and background in the Volkswagen Group will help give our sales an additional boost,” Griffiths added.
Fadda joins Seat from VW Group Argentina, where he has been vice president for sales and marketing since 2018.
Prior to that he spent 23 years at VW Group premium subsidiary Audi, including managing director of the automaker's operations in Spain from 2013-18. From 2006-09 he managed marketing at Audi Italy.
Fadda had a degree in business administration and an MBA from ESADE Busines School in Barcelona.
