Top 10 sellers by market, 3 months: Toyota, Skoda, Kia, Dacia lead the way

Toyota models appeared 50 times in the top 10 rankings of 29 European markets followed by 29 for Skoda and 26 for Kia.

    The Dacia Sandero was the best-selling new car in Spain in July.

    The Dacia Sandero was among the top 10-sellers in 13 out of 29 markets in the first quarter.

    Toyota models appeared 50 times in the top 10 rankings of 29 European markets through three months. Skoda was No. 2 with 29 appearances for its models and Kia was third with 26.

    Dacia and Peugeot each had 24 placements and Volkswagen had 23 and Hyundai had 17, according to figures from market researcher Dataforce.

    The best individual model was the Skoda Octavia with 14 top-10 finishes through three months, with No. 1s in Croatia and the Czech Republic.

    Toyota was led by the Corolla, which placed in the top 10 in 13 markets, taking the top spot in Finland and Poland.

    The Dacia Sandero also had 13 placements in the top 10s. Its best result was a No. 2 placement in Belgium.

    The Peugeot 208, Europe's No. 1-seller in the first quarter, had 12 top 10s including No. 1 in France and second-place finishes in Denmark, Greece and Portugal.
