Toyota models were the top sellers in seven European markets through four months, with the Corolla compact taking the No. 1 spot in Finland, Ireland and Poland.

The RAV4 compact SUV led the way in Estonia and Latvia, the C-HR compact crossover was No. 1 in Cyprus, and the Yaris small hatchback was tops in Greece during the January-April period, according to figures from market researcher JATO Dynamics.

Like the Corolla, the Volkswagen Golf and Skoda Octavia were No. 1 in three markets after four months.
The Golf was tops in Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, while the Octavia was the leader in Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Those models also were No. 1 in their respective markets in April.
In April, the Corolla was No. 1 in Finland, Poland and Latvia, where the Golf finished the month in second place and the RAV4 rounded out the top three. In Ireland, the Corolla finished the month third behind the Hyundai Tucson and Hyundai Kona.
Other vehicles of note during the January-April period were the Peugeot 208, which was the leader in France and Denmark, the Renault Clio, tops in Portugal and Slovenia, while the full-electric Audi e-tron was Norway's top seller, with nearly twice as many sales as its nearest competitor, the Golf.
