Sales of the Lexus NX more than doubled.
Market leader Toyota and sister brand Lexus were among the big winners in Poland, which experienced double-digit sales growth in July.
Toyota and Lexus benefited from their customer rebate programs in Poland, resulting a 21 percent rise for Toyota and a 116 percent gain for Lexus, according to figures from market researcher Dataforce.
The overall market was up 19 percent.
Toyota was among the market's biggest winners when it came to its growth in unit sales in July, increasing that number by 1,251 compared with July 2023.
Leading the way for Toyota in that metric was the C-HR compact SUV, which grew 186 percent (+619 cars) The C-HR also had one of the highest rebates offered by Toyota at 22,000 zloty (about €5,125), according to Dataforce research.
Lexus sold 700 more vehicles than it did in July 2023. The winners were the hybrid-focused LBX (+277 cars) and NX (+270 cars).
Given Toyota's and Lexus' heavy reliance on hybrids -- 77 percent of their combined July sales came from hybrid vehicles -- sales of the powertrain rose 50 percent in July, according to Dataforce.
German premium brands also had a strong month. Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW each grew by about 800 cars. Percentage wise BMW was up 56 percent, followed by Mercedes (+47 percent) and Audi (+35 percent).
