Toyota increased December sales in Turkey by a triple-digit percentage while Daimler and Ford had strong double-digit gains, helping the market grow by 16 percent last month.
Toyota boosted sales 126 percent in December because of strong demand for the Corolla compact, which was the No. 4 seller in the country last month.

Daimler, led by sales of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, grew 65 percent last month.
Ford increased its sales 41 percent in December because of big gains for its passenger and commercial vehicle arms.
Helped by the market's No. 5-seller, the Transit Courier/Tourneo Courier, and the Ford Transit/Tourneo at No. 6, Ford's van unit grew by 49 percent in December.
The passenger car side of the business, which increased by 26 percent, was boosted by demand for the Ford Focus, which finished the month as the No. 10 seller, according to data from market researcher JATO Dynamics.
Renault brand grew by 16 percent, led by the Clio small car, which finished the month as Turkey's No. 2-seller.
PSA Group had a 14 percent gain, led by an increase of 33 percent for Peugeot and 12 percent for Citroen.
The market's strong gain in December pushed Turkey's 2020 sales up 61 percent compared with 2019.
The full-year leaders in vehicle sales were the Fiat Egea, No. 1 with a volume of 90,631, followed by the Clio (49,644), Renault Megane (40,099), Transit Courier/Tourneo Courier (35,150) and Corolla (33,988).
