The Mini, Jaguar, Suzuki, Alfa Romeo and Kia brands increased July sales in Turkey by triple- or double digit percentages. Those gains, however, couldn't stop the overall market from declining by 47 percent.
Mini increased sales by 176 percent in July (to 102 vehicles compared with 37 in July 2020).
Jaguar was up 57 percent, but that was because its volume rose to 11 sales from 7 in July 2020. It was a similar situation at Alfa, which increased sales to 12 from 8 in July 2020, good for a 50 percent increase, according to data from market researcher JATO Dynamics
Kia was up 16 percent to 1,600 sales, because of strong demand for its Stonic small SUV, which accounted for more than 40 percent of the brand's overall sales and finished 16th in the country's ranking of 25 top-sellers.
