What was your first automotive job and why were you interested in the industry?
I did an internship in finance in Delphi Automotive in Epila, Spain, and became interested in all production operations.
Implementation of a hub and spoke parts warehousing in southern Europe, which significantly increased delivery performance to dealers and reduced overall costs.
Biggest failure and what it taught you?
During my time working in retail, I learned the hard way that when you project manage, you have to have full engagement with the operational team during all steps of the project to achieve successful implementation.
What is your current challenge at work?
Achieving and maintaining a premium brand and efficient parts delivery performance, and finalizing the parts reintegration from a supplier.
What about the auto industry surprises you?
The passion for the products that most of the people working in the industry have.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Be yourself at work and find a way to be able to make decisions based on value creation.
What advice would you give to a person considering a career in the auto industry?
If you want to have a lifetime career in any area of business with constant challenges, it's a great place to be.
If you were CEO of a company what would you do first?
Make sure that our product and service offerings are in line with what our customers want, and offer them in an efficient and differentiated way.
What job do you really want to have in the future?
One that would allow me to be involved in a wider scope of the business and get closer to customers.
What do you do to relax?
A 1998 three-door Seat Ibiza during my student days. It fulfilled its purpose at the time.
