PARIS -- Renault Group has hired Arnaud Belloni, the head of marketing and communication at Citroen since 2015, as part of its sales and marketing efforts.
In a news release announcing Belloni's hiring, Renault did not say what his exact role would be. He will report to CEO Luca de Meo, who took over on July 1, starting Nov. 15. De Meo has moved to refocus Renault’s organization around brands rather than regions.
Belloni, a graduate of Compiegne Business School in France, started his automotive career at Renault in marketing. In 1999 he moved to Volkswagen Group’s Skoda brand, where he led marketing product teams in France. He joined Fiat in 2004 and led marketing and communication for the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia brands in France.
In 2011 he became vice president for marketing for the Asia-Pacific region at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. He was named to his current post at Citroen in 2015.
Belloni’s earlier stints at Fiat and Renault intersected with de Meo, who started at Renault in marketing in 1992 and worked at Fiat from 2002 to 2009, as head of marketing and of the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia brands.
