Ford looked internally for its next head of design, elevating company veteran Todd Willing to replace the recently departed Anthony Lo.
Willing, who joined Ford in 2003, most recently was global design director for the company's electric vehicle division, Ford Model e. He was the chief exterior designer of the 2017 GT supercar and is credited with developing a host of global models, including the 2007 Mondeo, 2009 Fiesta and 2010 Focus.
"Willing is a leader who grasps Ford's unique history, recognizes the forces of change and can guide a team to create something new yet unequivocally Ford," a company spokesperson said in an emailed statement.
Ford said he will lead design of both Ford and Lincoln brand models worldwide.
