PARIS -- Mercedes-Benz has appointed long-serving sales and marketing executive Marc Langenbrinck as the general manager of its car business in France. Langenbrinck, 41, replaces Roland Schell, 47, who will become head the sales and marketing for Mercedes-Benz Cars in Italy. The appointments take effect April 1.
Langenbrinck, who will report to Mercedes France President Till Conrad, has held several executive positions with Mercedes parent Daimler AG in Germany since joining the company in 1995. He was picked to head the international marketing and sales department at Mercedes' fleet, used cars and direct sales operations in 2007.
Since 2009, Langenbrinck has served as the head of international sales and marketing for Daimler microcar subsidiary Smart. The German national holds a business degree from France's elite EM Lyon management school.
