Hyundai received a boost from the rollout of the third-generation Tucson compact SUV, which was in 22nd place overall with 16,428 sales through November; in 2020, the previous-generation Tucson was in 59th place with 6,432 sales through November. It was the No. 3 best-selling compact SUV in France after the Peugeot 3008 and Citroen C5 Aircross.
Stellantis group sales fell by 11 percent, with a 20 percent gain at Jeep and 15 percent increase at Citroen offset by losses among other volume brands. Peugeot was down 23 percent, DS down 17 percent and Fiat down 0.5 percent.
Dacia's strong month boosted Renault Group into positive territory, with a 7.8 percent increase. Renault brand sales were down 11 percent.
Volkswagen Group was down 22 percent, with VW brand down 32 percent, Audi down 1.8 percent, Skoda down 26 percent and Seat losing 27 percent.
BMW brand lost 6.7 percent, and Mini was down 2.9 percent. Mercedes-Benz sales fell 11 percent. Volvo sales fell 9.9 percent. Ford lost 45 percent.
Among other Asian brands, Toyota held steady with a 1.9 percent increase. Nissan sales fell 5.5 percent.
