Skoda, led by sales of the Superb sedan and Kamiq small SUV, grew more than 600 percent in April, according to data from market researcher JATO Dynamics. The two models combined accounted for 66 percent of the brand's sales last month and finished at No. 20 and No. 22, respectively, on the country's ranking of top 25-sellers
Kia increased sales more than 500 percent in April because of strong demand for the Sportage compact SUV, finished the month at No. 23 in the ranking of top-sellers.
Honda was up 489 percent because of swift sales of the Civic, which was the country's No. 7-seller last month.
Jeep reported a gain more more than 400 percent.
Dacia increased its sales nearly 300 percent on the strength of demand for the Duster small SUV.
The Hyundai and BMW brands were up 274 and 266 percent, respectively.
The four-month leaders in vehicle sales were the Fiat Egea, No. 1 with a volume of 24,580, followed by the Corolla with 18,740 sales through the first quarter.
Rounding out the top five were Renault Clio (11,717), Ford Transit Courier/Tourneo Courier (11,492) and Renault Megane (10,201).
