Daimler sees H2 gains as Europe car market hits bottom

Daimler expects new models such as the next-generation S class, shown, to have a ''significant'' impact on second-half sales.

FRANKFURT (Bloomberg) -- Daimler said the western European car market is set to improve in the coming months, as a six-year slump in the region shows signs of ending.
