VW Group plans 10 million EVs in 'first wave'

VW's I.D. family will include a retro-styled van, a crossover and a Golf-sized hatchback.

FRANKFURT -- Volkswagen Group plans to build 10 million electric cars based on its new modular MEB platform, the automaker said in a statement Monday, as it targets the launch of worldwide mass production toward the end of 2022.
