The new Peugeot 407 Coupe shares numerous unseen parts with its sedan and station wagon siblings. But in many cases, Peugeot asked suppliers to all three versions to provide even more advanced features for the coupe. Visteon supplies the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system to the three 407 versions. The difference is that the coupe offers optional four-zone air conditioning while the top-of-the-line 407 sedan and station wagon have two-zone air conditioning. Hella, which supplies xenon headlights to all 407 versions, will provide the coupe with optional adaptive front lights starting in 2007. This feature won’t be available on the sedan and station wagon. The coupe shares its Koyo-sourced electrohydraulic steering with the sedan and station wagon. But the coupe also offers an optional, electronically controlled version of the system that provides more power assistance at lower speeds. Inoplast delivers the coupe’s plastic trunk lid, a feature that is not found on the other 407 versions.
