Lexus beats Tesla, Mercedes in driver-assistance system safety ratings

A driver-assistance system offered on the Lexus LS sedan is the only one of 14 deemed “acceptable” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety,” the independent nonprofit group said in a statement.
