Toyota vows to remain profitable as pandemic hits auto industry

TOKYO -- Toyota Motor Corp. will remain profitable during the coronavirus pandemic, using lessons it learned during the global financial crisis more than a decade ago, CEO Akio Toyoda told shareholders at the Japanese automaker’s annual meeting.
