VW, Ford reach outline agreement to share electric, autonomous tech, report says

VW's ID3, shown as a prototype, will debut in September. It is targeted at Europe and is not expected to be sold in other markets such as the U.S.

FRANKFURT/DETROIT -- Ford and Volkswagen have reached an outline agreement to share electric and autonomous car technologies, extending their alliance beyond commercial vehicles, a source familiar with the matter said.
