PSA’s brands -- including Peugeot, Citroen and DS Automobiles -- have gone electric this year, with a full range of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, from the small Peugeot 208 to the midsize Opel/Vaxuhall Grandland X now on the market. PSA is now thinking bigger as it works toward a merger with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
Picat, who holds a degree in civil engineering, joined PSA in 1998 and worked as a manufacturing manager. He was managing director of PSA’s China joint venture with Dongfeng Motor and also served as managing director of the Peugeot brand before becoming head of Europe in 2016.
