Reppert, who was appointed ShareNow’s CEO in February, started his career in Daimler’s aftersales department in 1998. He held dealer network strategy and global business management posts in Germany and Switzerland until moving to Daimler’s Smart unit in 2010. From late 2014 until 2016 Reppert was Smart’s head of brand and product management. In October 2016, he became CEO of Car2Go, Daimler’s short-term rental business.

REASON FOR WINNING

While leading Car2Go, Reppert made the free-floating car-sharing business an important pillar of Daimler’s mobility strategy. He was a natural choice to take control at ShareNow, which combined Car2Go with BMW’s DriveNow to better compete against mobility services provided by Uber and other tech companies. Reppert leads a growing company with more than 4 million customers who use ShareNow’s fleet of 20,000 vehicles in 31 cities around the world.
