The India-born electrical engineer earned a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. Under Nadella Microsoft is working closely with automakers such as Daimler, BMW, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and Volkswagen Group to help them offer cloud applications to accelerate their digital transformation and help them define future mobility solutions. Together with BMW, Microsoft this spring announced the creation of the Open Manufacturing Platform, a technology framework and cross-industry community to enable faster, more cost-effective innovation in manufacturing.
