EU Council delays tariffs for EVs traded with U.K.

Ellesmere Port-Stellantis-electric vans-July 2021 — Stellantis began build electric vans at its Vauxhall plant in Ellesmere Port, England, in September. Stellantis warned that British car plants faced closures if local content rules were imposed.

The European Union Council has approved a plan to give electric vehicle makers in the EU and Britain until the end of 2026 to comply with local content rules.
