Ford to boost investment in UK EV powertrain plant by $180M

HALEWOOD, England -- Ford will invest an extra 149 million pounds ($180 million) to raise electric vehicle power unit capacity at its factory in northern England by 70 percent, as the automaker accelerates its push to go electric, the automaker said in a statement.
