The Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, a major annual auto show in China, will restart on December 30 after being delayed for more than a month, the event’s organizing committee said.
The announcement came after the Chinese government rolled back most of its stringent pandemic control measures this month.
The auto show, in the south China city of Guangzhou, will last until January 8.
The event, initially scheduled to begin on November 11, was postponed after a new wave of coronavirus infections emerged in Guangzhou.
The Guangzhou auto show is widely seen as the second most important auto exhibition in China, next only to the China auto show.
Beijing and Shanghai alternate as hosts of the China auto show.
This year’s China auto show, originally due to be held in Beijing in April, was first delayed and later canceled for pandemic control purposes.
