Germany's leading automakers rolled out global sales figures last week that confirmed the erosion of their crucial business in China continues unabated and may be accelerating as executives at Volkswagen Group, BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz struggle to find an effective strategy to halt their decline in the world's biggest car market.
