BEIJING -- PSA Group's joint venture in China with Dongfeng Motor Group said it had restarted car production at its plant in Wuhan city, the epicenter of China's coronavirus outbreak.
PSA has two assembly plants in China with Donfeng that build Peugeot and Citroen models for China and other Asian markets, in Wuhan and Chengdu.
The JV also makes engines and transmissions at a plant in Xiangyang, some of which it exports to Europe. PSA also has R&D centers in Wuhan and Shanghai.
A second Chinese JV with Changan Automobile, which builds and sells DS models, is in the process of being dissolved. This has an assembly plant, a component factory and an R&D center in the city of Shenzhen in southeast China.
