PARIS -- PSA Group said on Thursday its worldwide sales slumped 28 percent in 2020 in a global automotive market hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company said total sales stood at 2.51 million vehicles last year. PSA also said sales in Europe recovered in the second half of last year and were back to growth in the fourth quarter.
"This year of crisis was also an opportunity to develop e-selling," the company said in a statement.
The automaker said its target was to reach 100,000 digital sales in Europe by the end of 2021.
Rival Renault reported a 21 percent drop in its annual worldwide sales on Monday.
