EV startup Sono abandons plans for solar-powered car

Sono-car — The Sion is a full-electric vehicle that has solar cells integrated into its bodywork. It can be charged via solar power or from conventional power outlets.

BERLIN -- German startup Sono Motors has abandoned plans to produce a partly solar-powered car called the Sion and will instead focus on building solar panels for third-party vehicles, the company said in a statement.
