Mircea Gradu, senior vice president product and quality, Velodyne Lidar, will be part of an Automotive News Europe Congress panel discussion titled, Assisted or Autonomous Driving? It will be available via webcast on Thursday, July 16 at 14:00 CEST.

Velodyne Lidar is a pioneer in lidar, a key technology for safe self-driving vehicles. Lidar, an acronym for light detection and ranging, uses light waves from lasers to "see" around a vehicle and create 3D models and maps of objects, which are then recognized by computers that help the vehicle drive safely.

Velodyne’s products are now being used in dozens of self-driving vehicle programs, and the U.S.-based company is poised to go public.
