INGOLSTADT, Germany — Audi's delayed Q6 E-tron will be available to order this month and will be delivered to customers in the third quarter of 2024.
The Q6 E-tron is the brand's third battery-electric SUV, joining the smaller Q4 E-tron and larger Q8 E-tron. Its unveiling at Audi's headquarters here marks a significant step toward the brand's goal of having an electric-only lineup by 2033.
The Q6 E-tron is the first Audi model on parent Volkswagen Group's Premium Platform Electric architecture, which is shared with Porsche's full-electric Macan that was unveiled in January. The launches of both the electric Macan and Q6 E-tron have been delayed because of software development issues.
"The PPE shows how we are pooling expertise within the Volkswagen Group and thus making electric mobility scalable," Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said in a statement.
