FRANKFURT — Daimler appointed Harald Wilhelm, who worked for its former aerospace division, as chief financial officer to replace Bodo Uebber.
Wilhelm, currently CFO at Airbus, will join the company's management board on April 1, Daimler said in a statement. He will take over responsibility for finance and controlling after the company's annual shareholders' meeting on May 22.
Wilhelm has been CFO at Airbus since 2012. He held various roles at Daimler-Benz Aerospace and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace from 1992 to 2000, and worked on the integration of Airbus into a single company.
Daimler ended its involvement in Airbus by selling its remaining stake in the airplane company's owner EADS in 2012.
