Daimler starts pilot testing of self-driving Mercedes S-class taxis

Daimler and Bosch said they would use automated Mercedes S-class sedans to offer ride-hailing in the San Carlos/Stevens Creek corridor between downtown and west San Jose.

FRANKFURT -- Daimler is testing robotaxis in the U.S. despite new CEO Ola Kallenius saying that the automaker will "rightsize" its spending level on self-driving technologies.
