Compact car segment gains ground in H1; EV sales up slightly

Compact cars continued to outperform the market through June, led by a 42 percent surge in sales by the segment-leading Volkswagen Golf. The segment was up 12 percent in the first half, with total sales of 837,351, according to figures from Dataforce.
