Lamborghini to bid farewell to pure combustion cars this year

Lamborghini Winkelmann CEO 2022 — This year "will be the last time that we only offer combustion engines," Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said. The VW brand had record sales in 2021 and expects to report earnings approaching 20 percent.

Lamborghini is in its last year of selling only pure combustion engines in models such as Aventador as the sports-car maker switches its lineup to plug-in hybrids.
