Skoda production to resume in Ukraine

PRAGUE -- Volkswagen Group's Skoda will renew deliveries of semi knocked-down kits to its Ukraine production partner.

The Czech brand said 80 SKD kits will be delivered in an initial batch and assembled at the plant of its partner Eurocar.

"Any increase in production volume at the Solomonovo plant will depend on how the war progresses," Skoda said.

Eurocar assembles the Superb, Kodiaq, Karoq and Fabia Combi wagon models for the local market.

Solomonovo production was halted after Russia invaded Ukraine.

Production of Skoda cars at Russian in Nizhny Novgorod and Kaluga remains suspended.
