The Volkswagen T-Roc was Europe's No. 1 seller for August, holding on to the top slot for the second consecutive month. VW's small SUV ended the Peugeot 208's three-month reign as Europe's best-seller in July.
VW sold 16,458 units of the T-Roc in August, a gain of 45 percent from the same month last year.
The Dacia Sandero was second in August with a volume of 15,241 units, a gain of less than one percent compared with August 2021, according to figures from Dataforce.
The 208 for the second month in a row was third despite boosting sales 86 percent. The French small hatchback finished just 241 units behind the Sandero, its chief rival in the segment.
