Audi said Thomas Bogus will be the new plant manager at its threatened Brussels factory, succeeding Volker Germann.
Bogus is currently the project manager responsible for production of Audi's all-electric models at factories in Europe and China, including the Q8 E-Tron that is built at the Brussels plant.
Bogus will start the new role on Sept. 16, Audi said in a statement. Germann will take on new tasks at the Audi Group, the automaker added.
Audi parent Volkswagen Group said in July it was considering closing the Brussels site due to low demand for the Q8 E-Tron, the plant's only model.
